About ADK-North Jersey
"We
believe in the out-of-doors, the woods, the streams and hills, the wildlife that
lies therein. We believe that humankind’s care for them, in a state of nature
consistent with conservation, is our best investment for the future."
The North Jersey Chapter of the
Adirondack Mountain Club is
composed of members primarily in Northern New Jersey and Southern NY State.. The
region includes Harriman State Park, Ramapo Valley Reservation, Sterling Forest,
The Palisades and many many more great parks and trails.
The club offers something for everyone, from active support for
conservation to a variety of outdoor activities and social events. Outings
include hiking, canoeing, cross country skiing, and other outdoor activities. We
also have social events such as chapter picnics and dinners. Hikes range
from short, easy walks to more difficult high peaks climbs in the Catskills and
Adirondacks. Most activities are local and do not require a long drive.
